1987-1996: Freelance sub-editor, including the Sunday Tribune and The Irish Times.

1996-2006: Deputy chief sub-editor the Sunday Tribune. From 2001 I wrote a weekly column about the interweb called Ethos.

2008-2011: BA (Hons) in History and Anthropology, NUI Maynooth.

2013: MA in History, University College Dublin (thesis: ‘All Shook Up: Television and Mass Media in Ireland 1961 to 1979’).

2016– Caretaker (part-time), Baltyboys Cemetery, west Wicklow
